Makes you wonder about people.  Don't remember whether I mentioned it in this subject - saw a Storage Wars a while ago where some buyers of a storage unit took something to be appraised and the people doing the appraising were furries.  I used to think it was something the writers of the script had made up.
This one is a shame for the young girl and the friend who did the killing.  Ruined lives.  Also shows people are too quick to grab a gun these days.

Ah yes, I remember them well - after you reminded me.  CCF was pretty bad; Let it Bleed was better and as I recall Nick had a good part in that one.  Don't remember the dog one but then I don't watch any episodes after Grissom left, not even the ones with Sara - exception the one with Grissom's mother.  Had hoped she'd be able to return in another episode but as we all know, fate stepped in.

Chick Chop Flick Shop was aired on Halloween, I think.

"Let it Bleed" was another Halloween episode--a guy dressed as a policeman tries to rob a store and a dead girl is found in a dumpster. The girl has multiple blood types in her.

Then, the one where they thought a police dog attacked his handler was a Halloween episode (Nick adopts the dog)---Play Dead in Season 13 (had to look this up!)

And-- years later, we see Catherine as a supervisor--and she's not a good supervisor!

In Secrets and Flies, Grissom should have put her on suspension! Was Catherine the only one who was never suspended?

Watched most of Secrets and Flies - one of CSI's best.  When Grissom and Catherine are in the hall, he questions her about Dr. Ryan's complaint  concerning remarks made by Catherine during a conversation.  Instead of quoting Leviticus, Grissom should have reminded Catherine that she is not supposed to express her personal beliefs when talking to someone involved in a case.  His lack of being firm about her conduct, which happened far too often, did not help establish the 'boss' relationship we've talked about before.  In a sense this does give Catherine some excuse for her occasions of insubordination.

Happy Hallowe'en, everyone.  Trying to remember whether we had a CSI episode that was more or less based on this and nothing comes to mind.

She did!! Watching reruns, I 'catch' some of these things that I didn't noticed the first time!

The carnival murder by the mother stands out as a perfect one--- how Catherine was all into mothering except for actually taking care of her own daughter!

And how many times did Catherine do what she wanted instead of doing what her supervisor asked or assigned?

You are so right.  Remember the episode where the mother drowned her daughter in the carnival ride?  Catherine said she had to leave and I'm sure we all thought it was to go home to her daughter but no -  off to sleep with the current bed partner.  In relation to Grissom, she often acted as though she thought she was the boss.
