There are so many potential stories in real life. And NONE of the endanger CSI or their families!!

You all remember To Tags - Warrick and Greg's case of the woman pushed over the cliff by her husband.  Story presently in the news about a woman who supposedly slipped and fell off a cliff; her husband had taken out a $4.5mil life insurance policy on her unknown to her, visited the site several times and marked an X on a map which is where she fell.  Sure sounds familiar.  This isn't potential - this is right now.

Maybe he got the idea from watching Toe Tags.  I loved that episode.

What about the blue stiletto case? The one where the girlfriend beat her rich boyfriend to death with her blue stiletto and claimed it was self defense?? That would be a good one!

This case has been ongoing since last fall. Infant found buried in the back yard and recently the mother was charged with chemical abuse of an infant. Would make a great CSI case.
